Weekly - Saturday 3am-noon

One of the best reasons for going out on a Friday night, is to ensure that you're in no fit state to do anything other than end up at A:M on a Saturday morning!

A:M (Pic by Martin, 03/2004)

When I first visited A:M after Fiction's 3rd Birthday Party in 2003, it was still at Club Colosseum, where the volume of punters present did little to swell the venue's vast capacity, and the lacklustre music did little to swell anything.

By the time I next visited, after the DiscoDamaged 3rd Birthday Party, A:M had moved to the revamped Fire, whose more intimate surroundings had given A:M a much needed shot of atmosphere, and the DJ line-up was providing a soundtrack to match!

It was at A:M that I discovered that when given free reign, Paul Heron is not just a good DJ, he's a great DJ, that Saturday's are not a good day to go shopping, and that Essex schoolgirls are as mouthy now as they were when I was at school with them...

With the venue playing host to Growlhouse in the hours before A:M opens, and the only other noteworthy club open on Friday being Fiction, A:M is home to one of the most diverse mix of gay and straight clubbers in London, A:M (Pic by Martin, 03/2004) and is increasingly seen as less of a last-stop knocking shop, and instead the primary reason for going out on Friday night, many skipping whatever Friday night clubs are on offer for the guarantee of consistently good music from the main A:M residents, Paul Heron, Hugh Stephenson, Severino, The Sharp Boys, Steve Pitron, David Jimenez and young Oli.

Why sleep?
