FLY

New venue to be announced...

After debuting in June 2005, at London's La Troya Asesina event, Fly made its return at Hidden some four-and-a-half months later.

The seeds of Fly were sown when London DJs Mark Westhenry and Steven Black played together at a disco in São Paulo, Brazil, in June 2004... Steven was one of the resident DJs, and Mark was there as part of the DTPM World Tour. On that day, we are told, a mutual appreciation society was formed, both DJs waiting for the chance when they could play together again on a regular basis.

Having a respect for both DJs, iBoy Events approached them with the offer of becoming the resident DJs of Fly, which made its test flight in the VIP Lounge of La Troya's London event exactly twelve months after Mark and Steven first met. Joined for that first night by co-pilot Jo Public, a genuine buzz was created, and everyone was asking when the boys would be back... Okay, the boys were asking when they'd be back, only to be told that summer wasn't a good time to launch a new party, but could they call again when the leaves were starting to fall!

Joining Mark and Steven at the return of Fly were their co-stars from June's La Troya event, Latinaires percussionist Angela Paz Alhucema and DJs Alex Celler and Ariel, in Fly's Latin American room the Fly Trap.

Having successfully put Fly on the map as a club in its own right, the Hidden event will soon be leading to an ongoing night at a central London location...
