 KINKY LATINO - gone Egg, 200 York Way, Kings Cross, London N7 9AP Sunday mornings 4.30pm - late Part of the rotating line-up of Sunday morning afterhours parties, launched at Egg in the wake of Trade's necessary cancellation after the Easter 2004 party, Kinky Latino was DJ Ariel's first after-hours club since Saturday morning's Latinaires at Turnmills. Despite an eclectic selection of parties including Kinky Latino and Factor 25, and an equally stellar line-up of gay scene DJs, these alternatives to the South London clubbing black hole all failed to reach critical mass (doubtlessly not helped by the logistics of reaching Egg through the mass of Kings Cross building sites that year). All were eventually pulled before the summer, and Trade's eventual return that autumn. Their subsequent replacements, Bleached and Jaded, have done much better, and its unlikely that Kinky Latino will be back in any hurry. Still, it did achieve an original DJ line-up, with Spanish and Latin American talent as diverse as Ariel, Raymundo Rodriguez, Max Latino, Gonzalo, and Miguel Pellitero, all playing on the Kinky Latino bill.
