It's that man again!

Ariel, the only DJ in London willing to take chances by promoting clubs that offer a real alternative to the mainstream, this time with Manteca. Not house, not techno, and definitely not funky and cheesy, Manteca promises genuine Latin sounds from genuine Latin DJs and percussionists. This basement attraction at Freedom Bar packed in discerning clubbers, gay and straight, looking for that authentic latin sound without having to go to Cuba to find it! Supported by DJs Rorro and new talent De La Cruz, and Glasgow's leading Chilean percussionist Angela, Manteca garnered nothing but rave reviews during the winter of 2004/05, until Freedom closed its doors for yet another refurbishment...

Currently on hiatus, Ariel was persuaded to bring himself and the Manteca sound to Ruby 2005, the annual Blue Cube 'Pride' event in London, leading to speculation on where and how it would be brought back next... I'll find out for you and let you know!
