Yay, straight club alert! I do get off the gay scene occasionally!! Okay, so that's not a huge hurrah really considerin' that Smokin' Jo is one of the gay scene's leadin' DJ icons, plus there's no gettin' away from the fact that on the night I went former Trade and DTPM co-star Alan Thompson was also sharin' the bill with Jo... Still, outside Ibiza, this was probably my straightest night's clubbin' since an unfortunate Hollywoods experience in Romford many, many lifetimes ago! I went to support Jo and Tim, since I'm a huge fan of the music they played at their legendary NastyDirtySexMusic - there's a reason we abbreviate this to NDSM - parties in Ibiza durin' the 2004 summer season. Havin' Alan Thompson on the bill that night was an unexpected bonus, but the real joy was in Ministry's main room, where Jo and Tim threw out all the rules and gave Ministry one of its best nights ever, shitloads better than any of their manky Ibiza compilation albums! I planned to stay long enough to be polite, but ended up stayin' till they finally called time at 7.30 in the morning, some two hours later than scheduled, giving me one of the best clubbin' experiences I'd ever had in London! And I haven't even mentioned Rosco's role in the hole night... Recommended.
